Privacy policy

Effective October 7, 2026

sleepypod does not collect any information about you. This policy covers the sleepypod iOS app, Core, the M5 Rotary Dial firmware, and this website.

What we collect

Nothing. sleepypod has no accounts, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking, and the project runs no servers that receive your data.

Where your data lives

  • Your Pod. Core runs on your Pod and stores settings, schedules, and sleep and sensor data there. The iOS app and the dial talk to it directly over your local network.
  • Your iPhone. If you grant Apple Health access, the iOS app reads sleep, heart rate, HRV, and respiratory rate samples and can write sleep sessions back to Health. That data stays on your devices and your Pod. It is never sent to the sleepypod project or any third party, and it is never used for advertising.

You can revoke Health or local network access at any time in iOS Settings, and you control the data on your Pod.

Third-party services

To check for Core updates, the iOS app requests public release information from GitHub. The request carries no personal information, but like any web request it reveals your IP address to GitHub, which handles it under GitHub’s privacy statement .

This website is a static site on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies, and search runs in your browser.

Children

sleepypod is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
