Gestures
Settings → Gestures sets what happens when you tap the top of the cover on your side. Each side has its own gestures. Choose Left or Right at the top of the page first.

The two cards
There are three taps: Double tap, Triple tap, and Quad tap. Each tap does one thing. The two cards show what that thing is in two situations:
- Tap gestures shows what each tap does normally: Temperature +N° or −N°, Power on / off, Nothing, or Not set.
- While an alarm is ringing shows what each tap does while an alarm is going off: Snooze N min, Stop alarm, or Temperature ±N°.
In the example above, a quad tap turns the left side on or off, but if an alarm is ringing it snoozes the alarm for 5 minutes instead. A temperature gesture does the same thing whether or not an alarm is ringing.
Set a gesture
- Select the tap you want to change, in either card.
- Choose an action:
- Temperature: choose Warmer or Cooler, and an Amount from 1 to 10 degrees. The default is 2 degrees warmer.
- Alarm & power: choose what happens While ringing, either Snooze or Stop alarm. For Snooze, choose Snooze for, 1 to 10 minutes; the default is 5. Then choose When no alarm: Nothing, or Power on / off.
- Select Save. To clear a gesture, open it and select Remove.
A temperature gesture starts a manual hold, like any other temperature change. See Temp.
Check it on the bed
Saving a gesture does not prove the cover detects it. Try each tap on the correct side and check that the right thing happens.
Taps are ignored on a side that pump stall protection has turned off, so a stalled pump cannot be restarted from the cover. If a tap does nothing, check the Temp screen for a stall banner, then look in System → Logs.
The cover’s firmware also makes its own small adjustment when you tap. Core replaces it with the amount you set here, so a tap moves exactly that amount.
